Goal #1
Goal Statement
Increase the percentage of K-5 students scoring at, or above, benchmark by 2% in 2026 from 2025 as measured by the Acadience EOY Composite.

Measurements
Our goal will be measured by the Acadience Assessment, using the End-of-Year Composite Score. This assessment measures reading fluency and is state mandated for students in grades K-3. Providence Elementary is working with students to get them college and career ready. Reading fluently and comprehending are critical in this effort.
Action Steps
- Tier one instruction will benefit from the features embedded in the District ELA Curriculum, an onsite Literacy Facilitator, highly trained para-professionals, Professional Development, and PLCs.
- Providence Elementary will hire 5 paraprofessionals to help with differentiated small group reading instruction for our at-risk students. Research-based programs will be used for instructing our at-risk students in every grade level, targeting the specific skills that are lacking. Kindergarten students will receive instruction in the Early Reading Intervention program for 30 minutes daily. Our 1st and 2nd grade students will receive Reading Mastery instruction for 30 minutes daily. 3rd grade students will receive Corrective Reading instruction for 30 minutes daily. 4th-6th grade students who are at-risk will continue to receive tier two reading instruction. Classroom teachers and paraprofessionals will progress monitor our at-risk students a minimum of once every two weeks. (5 Aides $75,962.23)
- Teachers will support our goal for students to read a minimum of 20 minutes nightly and reinforce this by encouraging students to use the Library regularly, teaching students how to use the Library’s Destiny software to find books in their lexile, and by using a School-Wide Reading Program to increase student motivation. (Subscription $1,231)
- Classroom teachers will teach with technology to increase access to instruction and to increase engagement. Teachers will also provide students with access to Chromebooks so that students can use the online student component included in the ELA curriculum to help with reading fluency and comprehension practice. (8 Teacher Computers $9,080)

Action Steps
1. Strengthen tier 1 instruction by identifying students in need of interventions and re-teaching opportunities.
2. Students will use the iReady: My Path tool, targeting their areas of greatest need.
3. Providence Elementary will use the iReady Math Diagnostic to identify and group students for tier 2 instruction and to determine proper interventions for students that need more than the intervention beyond the My Path tool in iReady.
4. Students will use the My Path tool in iReady to targets specific skills that are missing. Teachers will provide students with access to Chromebooks so that students can use the My Path tool.
5. Teachers will collaborate in PLCs to analyze data and identify modifications to instruction that will target the needs of tier 2 students.
6. Providence will hire 2 Paraprofessionals who will push into classrooms during tier 2 math to provide support, work in small groups, or provided 1:1 intervention. (2 Aides $29,892)
