Dear Providence Families,

We were so happy to have our students back in the building! They make our work so much fun and it has been so much fun to connect with them after the summer. We have noticed that, like most years, our start has seen some new challenges. Please take a minute to review some requests from the school:

• Please develop a plan with your children for how they will meet up after school. It works best if this plan is consistent each day and if the students know to wait there until all their siblings arrive.

• Please make sure that students do not have cellular capabilities enabled on their watches during school hours. If there are circumstances that you feel need to be considered, please contact the administration. These watches are included amongst the devices prohibited by state law, as well as the district’s cellular devices policy which can be found using the link below. Please review it so that you will be aware of how school personnel will respond to students using phones or cellular enabled watches at school.

  • Personal Electronic Device Policy for K-6

• We were happy to see so many students riding their bikes to school! For student safety, we ask that all bikes be walked when on the sidewalks surrounding the school. Thank you for your understanding.

• Please remember that there is no parking in front of the school during pick-up (8:35 - 9:05) and drop-off (3:25 - 3:45). Also, students should not enter or exit vehicles until they are between the two large A-Frame signs. This helps us to keep the line moving quickly and safely.

• Our Crossing Guards are required to receive and follow very specific training. This training is designed with the safety of the students and the crossing guards. To better understand their process and training, please watch the video using the link below. They are amazing and are doing their best while remaining comliant with the mandates placed upon them. Please make sure to thank them and treat them with kindness!

We would like to recognize Mrs. Christa Anderson, Mrs. Stephanie Brown, and Mrs. Lauren Hall who have finished their two year term on the School Community Council. We wish to express our gratitude for their service. We have three seats available on our School Community Council and would like to invite any interested individuals to contact Mr. Keck or fill out the form which can be found in the main office. If more than three individuals express interest, an election will be held to fill these vacancies on the council.

We also wanted to review some general reminders for those families that may be new to Providence Elementary. Please remember that as a school, we do not allow students or parents to provide birthday treats. The teachers do a wonderful job of celebrating birthdays and making it a special day for their students. We also have several individuals with allergies to latex and request that if delivering balloons to the school that you send latex-free or mylar balloons.
